More Than A Woman, More Than A Woman To Ryan

Steamy actor Ryan Gosling admits that he is in the lucky position of understanding women.

Gosling, who is currently dating stunner Eva Mendes, believes that his incredible talent (not acting in this case) stems from the time spent with his mother and sister while being home schooled.

The ‘Gangster Squad’ star told OK! magazine: ‘If I have any particular appeal to women, maybe it’s because I listen more than other guys do and I appreciate how they think and feel about things.

‘I grew up in a family of strong women and I owe any capacity I have to understand women to my mother and big sister.

‘They taught me to respect women in a way where I’ve always felt a strong emotional connection to women, which has also helped me in the way I approach my work.’

While we believe that you may be able to relate to women better than other men, we can’t help but think that your good looks don’t hurt when you go out on the prowl…

Miley’s Stylish Bed Scene

Miley Cyrus caused a Twitter storm this week when she posted a photo of herself in bed with a cardboard cutout of One Direction singer Harry Styles.

Many of her fans were concerned that she had decided to trade Liam Hemsworth, to whom she is engaged, for the singer, but it turned out she was simply poking fun at her sister Noah for her 13th birthday.

Miley spent the day with her younger sister Hannah, and they were just playing around with Noah’s ‘crush’.

She cleared the air by tweeting, “In no way do I want Harry. No offense. I’m sure that’ll be a story now 2. I’m happily engaged. Just got saucy with a cardboard cut-out.”

We’re sure Hemsworth is also relieved, especially since Styles is now a single man again after a whirlwind romance with Taylor Swift.

Britney Spears: The X Judge

Songstress Britney Spears has decided not to renew her contract with reality show ‘The X Factor’.

Spears was handed a major pay cheque ($15 million) to appear as a judge alongside Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid on the singing competition in 2012, but now it seems that the ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ star is eager to focus solely on her own career and not on helping others forge their own.

A source close to the singer revealed to TMZ: ‘Britney loves Simon, she likes Demi Lovato but her thing is music.’

However, it appears that Britney may have decided to jump before being pushed, with an insider at the show admitting that the producers were less than happy with her presence on the show.

The insider revealed: ‘Britney will get the boot. Producers wanted her for the long haul, but it isn’t working. They paid all that for her to say ‘amazing’ and offer half-claps.

‘Simon wanted crazy Britney, but he got boring Britney.’

What’s Wrong With Taylor Swift?

Everyone is wondering what on earth is wrong with singer Taylor Swift?

The songstress has had several short-lived romances over the last few months, with her claiming to be “in love” with them only weeks after starting dating and then suddenly splitting up with them within weeks. Her long list of failed romances include Conor Kennedy, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, and, most recently, Harry Styles.

The pair split swiftly following their Caribbean holiday, after reports that they had an argument. Swift left for home while Styles stayed in Virgin Gorda for a while.

Jack Osbourne’s wife Lisa has explained the situation for us, saying Swift is “batsh*t crazy”. She went on a tirade on Twitter about the singer’s string of romances, and tweeted, “I usually find out when Taylor Swift breaks up with someone before I even knew they were dating”.

We can probably expect an album about the break-up soon…

Despite a scandal hanging over the head of Justin Bieber, the popstar has given the Saturday Night Live writers his full permission to cover any aspect of his life – which includes his marijuana incident.

Bieber was recently photographed smoking what was allegedly weed, causing a massive uproar among his fans and their parents.

However, what better way is there than to make fun of a contentious issue in order to move forward?

Bieber is set to host and perform on SNL on February 9 and is reportedly excited about giving comedy a go – we are more excited about the gags they will use to humiliate you!

Top Honours for Katy Perry at People’s Choice Awards

The People’s Choice Awards took place in Los Angeles on Wednesday, and Katy Perry seems to have come out as a favourite, along with the film ‘The Hunger Games’.

The pop star received the Favourite Pop Artist award, as well as the Favourite Female Artist and Favourite Music Video. Her KatyCat fans also earned her the Favourite Music Fan Following.

Boy band One Direction received the award for Favourite Song and also won Favourite Album for their ‘Up All Night’ record. The Wanted were the surprise winners of Favourite Breakout Artist, which was expected to go to Carly Rae Jepsen. Robert Downey Jr won the awards for Favourite Movie Actor and Favourite Superhero, while television hits ‘Glee’, ‘Castle’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ walked away with double wins.

The cast of ‘The Hunger Games’ walked away with Favourite Movie, Favourite Movie Franchise and Favourite Action Movie honours, while the star of the film, Jennifer Lawrence, was awarded Favourite Movie Actress and Favourite Face of Heroism. Her onscreen romance with Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson in the film resulted in the trio winning the Favourite Onscreen Chemistry award.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the event’s first ever Favourite Humanitarian prize, which went to Sandra Bullock. She was recognised for her efforts with schools in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Singer Akon believes he has a duty to sit down with Justin Bieber and put the singer back on the right path.

Bieber is currently in the middle of a scandal reportedly involving both marijuana and alcohol, and Akon is desperate to help out.

Akon told TMZ: ‘I gotta talk to Justin, I didn’t know he was smoking.

‘That’s my little man … hopefully, I’ll make an impact.

‘He’s a responsible kid.’

Hollywood Director Dies in Sandton

The director of “Snakes on a Plane”, David R Ellis, was found dead in Johannesburg at around 1pm on Monday – he was last seen alive at the hotel he was staying at’s restaurant on Saturday. Lt. Col. Lungelo Dlamini said that nothing was missing from his room, and so no foul play was suspected.

Ellis was 60 years old and was busy filming ‘Kite’ in South Africa.

David R Ellis started his Hollywood career in ‘The Strongest Man in the World’ in 1975, but moved on to doing stunts for films such as ‘Scarface’ and ‘Smokey and the Bandit’. He directed ‘Snakes on a Plane’ and ‘Shark Night 3D’, and was working on the 2013 releases ‘R.I.P.D’ and ’47 Ronin’.

Samuel L Jackson, who worked with Ellis on ‘Snakes on a Plane’, tweeted his condolences, saying, “So sad to hear of David R. Ellis’ passing! So talented, so kind, such a good friend. He’ll be missed. Gone too soon!”
