It appears that the search for Jennifer Lopez’ replacement as a judge on American Idols is proving to be a difficult one.

Lopez is leaving the show after two seasons as a judge and has listed a few music icons who she would like to see replace her.

However, one of her choices, Jon Bon Jovi, has no interest in taking up an offer from the reality show.

A source close to the Bon Jovi lead singer told TMZ: “With all systems go for a new album and a mega-tour on the horizon, Jon wouldn’t be able to give those aspiring singers the guidance they deserve.

“Jon wouldn’t commit to anything unless he can give 100%. With planning for the next album already underway, he’s focused on the band.”

Mick Jagger and Bono are also said to have been recommended by Lopez, but no decision has been made as of yet on the duo.

Is this the beginning of the end of the American Idols interest?

George Clooney looks as if he is putting his ‘playboy’ lifestyle behind him in exchange for a settled life alongside Stacy Keibler.

The dashing 51-year-old appears to be in a very solid relationship with 32-year-old Keibler after meeting her parents and introducing her to his.

The pair entertained their parents at Clooney’s Italian estate, with laughs and ice-cream being shared – according to reports from TMZ.

Can we now deduce that Clooney is looking to make an honest woman out of Keibler? Time will tell…

We’ve Cena It All Before

It appears that wrestler and actor John Cena’s divorce nightmare has finally been resolved.

According to TMZ, Cena’s divorce from wife Elizabeth Huberdeau has been concluded after three years of marriage.

Huberdeau was eager to fight the prenup in place after reports of infidelity on Cena’s part, but things have now died down and the duo appear to be happy with the outcome.

Huberdeau’s lawyer told TMZ: “All matters [in the divorce] have been settled and resolved amicably.”

Maybe Cena performed one of his submission holds on Huberdeau to get her to agree to his terms?

Maybe Pete Is The Problem?

Just when we thought that rehab centres were there to help people, it appears that a clinic in Thailand has gone against exactly what they are in existence to do.

Notorious drug-addiction-sufferer Pete Doherty was recently kicked out of The Cabin rehab centre for causing trouble amongst the other patients.

Ok, so maybe it is not the rehab centre who is at fault here…

The Cabin programme director Alastair Mordey told Bang Showbiz: “Pete was discharged today for therapeutic reasons.

“It is important to maintain the integrity of the treatment programme for the other clients to have a good chance of recovery. Pete understands this and therefore the reasons behind why we have asked him to leave.

“Although our parting with Pete is amicable, we are of course disappointed to see him leave. We hope some of the things he has learnt here will help him in the future and look forward to the day when Pete decides to consider recovery again.”

It has got to suck when even a rehab centre won’t take you…

Celebrities have been known to have odd obsessions and fetishes, but it appears that burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese has taken those to a new level.

Von Teese, who was once married to shock rocker Marilyn Manson, has revealed that she has a pretty extensive collection of taxidermy – including an full ostrich!

She told Bang Showbiz: “I collect vintage taxidermy: I have two big heart-shaped domes filled with birds, I have a bear rug, a monkey and a full ostrich.

“I also have a collection of rare feathers I got from a famous place in France that supplied feathers to Josephine Baker, Mistinguett, and all the showgirls in Paris for 300 years.”

Not sure we would be too keen to have an ostrich staring at us every day?

Rapper 50 Cent apparently wants to cheer The X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos up after her sex tape was leaked by an ex-boyfriend, and he wants to do this by taking her for a meal.

The star said: “I’m going to be over in the UK later on again in the year and I would love to meet Tulisa for dinner. She had it tough and she has also been through some s**t recently as well.”

He loved how she handled the situation, and he also has a high regard for her singing, as he wishes to collaborate with the former N-Dubz singer soon because he loves to work with people “who’ve got a story to tell”.

We suppose he’s most excited about her story about her sex tape, if he hasn’t seen it yet… Did we hear someone say ulterior motive?

Beautiful actress Brooke Shields has claimed she wanted to lose her virginity to pop singer George Michael.

Although the beauty didn’t have sex until she was 22, she was desperate for her first time to be with the WHAM star when they dated briefly in the 80s.

In an interview, the Blue Lagoon actress said her “clothes were practically falling off” her when she was with him, but the pair never made it to the bedroom, as he broke it off in order to pursue her career.

Her dream could never be fulfilled, however, as Michael was revealed as a homosexual when he was arrested for “engaging in a lewd act” in a public toilet.

Meanwhile, Michael has strangely lost his accent after coming out of a coma. The singer was in a three-week coma after falling ill with pneumonia, and suddenly spoke with inflections reminiscent of those spoken by people who come from Bristol in South West England.

Michael told radio LBC: “My doctors were genuinely worried that I had this condition…where people wake from comas speaking French or some other language they learned at school…They were saying, ‘Oh my god, he’s got brain damage’.”

Though Michael admits there’s nothing wrong with the West Country accent, he said it was strange since he came from North London.

The Truth About Bonang and Euphonik

Friends of Bonang Matheba and Themba Nkosi, better known as Euphonik, have come clean about their relationship, saying it was filled with cheating and plenty of fights.

According to City Press, who interviewed the anonymous friends, Matheba would find headwraps under her bed and strange weave strands on her pillows after a long trip.

The two have apparently been at odds for quite some time, and Matheba was seen sobbing at a party, proclaiming that “DJs make rubbish boyfriends”.

The couple made headlines recently when Euphonik appeared in court on charges of domestic violence, intent to do harm, and damage to property after he assaulted Matheba inside his home.

Good on Matheba for not letting Euphonik get away with it!

Schucks, Schuster Keeps Going!

Despite the moans and groans of hundreds of South Africans whenever Leon Schuster releases another one of his repetitive slapstick comedies, his latest film, Mad Buddies, has made R20.4 million to date, and continues to climb in the box office, making it to the third spot in the Combined Top 10 for the weekend of July 13 to 15 and proving that thousands of South Africans still love him.

The comedy already shattered Schuster’s previous box office record on its opening weekend, and beat the Mr Bones films, Mama Jack, and Schucks Tshabalala’s Survival Guide to South Africa.

The film still drew large amounts of viewers even though pirates tried desperately to get a copy for their street customers.

Many people might have been disappointed that his partner in this film was Kenneth Nkosi rather than his eternal partner in crime Alfred Ntombela, but Ntombela makes an appearance as the bad guy this time around.

Then again, it can’t be too difficult pretending to get hurt. And it must have been fun to slap Schuster!
