Former president Nelson Mandela was admitted to a hospital in Pretoria on Saturday “for medical attention.”
The presidency has told the public that there’s no need to panic about Madiba’s health. “There is no cause for alarm… he [Mandela] is in the hands of a good medical team,” said presidential spokesman Mac Maharaj.”
We spoke with a whole host of local celebs who’ve shown their support for Tata…
Dear Madiba,
Thanks for changing our country only for the best. I wish you well during this time. May God’s protective hand be over your life.
All the best,

I’m quite concerned about Madiba’s health. I hope that he will enjoy a beautiful Christmas and an amazing entry into 2013. I know that one day he will eventually pass on – I just don’t think the festive season is the time! He needs to be with his family and his friends and eat turkey and mince pies. He needs to be granddaddy for all the kids on Christmas morning. I pray he doesn’t spend Christmas in hospital and I pray that he makes it back home.

Madiba means so much to me and the rest of the country so to hear he isn’t well has naturally saddened everyone. I wish him a speedy recovery and lots of happiness.
