Is it fair to say that 2015 is the year of the viewer? With the amount of couch potatoes around the country who love a good tv show there is plenty of material for people to enjoy this year. I decided to take a look at some of the most exciting shows to look forward to during 2015 and what they are all about. Whether you binge-watch, PVR or watch religiously every week, you’ll want to watch catch every single one of these shows.
Empire
The highly anticipated drama set in the world of a hip hop empire stars Howard Terrence Howard and Tiraji P. Henson an is already showing on DStv in 2015.
The show centers around a hip hop, music and entertainment company, Empire Enterprises, and we get a front row seat to the drama among the members of the founders' family as they fight for control of the company.
The hour-long family drama was created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, and stars Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. Henson looks like she has the juiciest role, dialing it up to 11 as Howard's ex-wife, released from jail after 17 years and looking for a cut of his empire.
The Walking Dead (Season 5)
Rick Grimes and the crew face more gruesome challenges in Part 2 of the The Waking Dead’s Season five.
Lackluster mid-season finale aside, The Walking Dead was at the best it's ever been in the first half of the season, and hopefully it will keep the momentum going for the back half of season five, which sees our heroes recovering from their fatal encounter at the hospital. The trailer makes it look pretty intense and dark.
If you haven’t been following this series, you have been missing out! Based on the comic book series of the same name, The Walking Dead tells the story of a small group of survivors living in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse.
Game of Thrones (Season 5)
Coming to M-Net Edge channel 102 in April
It will adapt material from A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons, the fourth and fifth novels in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series.
The series, set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos at the end of a decade-long summer, interweaves several plot lines with a broad ensemble cast. The first narrative arc follows a civil war among several noble houses for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms; the second covers the rising threat of the impending winter and the legendary creatures and fierce peoples of the North; the third chronicles the attempts of the exiled last scion of the realm's deposed ruling dynasty to reclaim the throne.

House of Lies is an American dark comedy created by Matthew Carnahan. The series is based on the book, House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time, written by Martin Kihn, a former consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.
In season 4 Marty is back with a vengeance - ready to grow Kaan & Associates and conquer the consulting world. Revelations of what has occurred since last season begin to explain the 'new normal' at K&A.
