Thandy Matlaila's boyfriend, athlete Tshepo Khoza, popped the question last week. 

She confirmed to the Daily Sun that he popped the question, but revealed she did not have a ring yet.

Apparently Tshepo has not bought one because he wants to do things the traditional way. 

"Tshepo wants to do things the right way. He said the ring will come once he has sent a letter to my elders because that is the right thing to do in African culture. This will probably be in January," Thandy told the publication.

So, technically, they are not officially engaged, but getting there!
