AKA has opened up about the assault incident.
It was revealed that the rapper, who was performing in Durban over the weekend, kicked a fan who jumped on stage during his performance. Eyewitnesses took to Twitter to reveal what happened.
In a series of tweets, the rapper also took to the social network to share his side of the story.
"Fans" don't jump on stage and ruin the show for everyone who's watching it. It's unfortunate that I ended up having to be my own security.

I put an insane amount of preparation into my shows ... This is my craft, my livelihood and I take it seriously. Actions have consequences.

The word "FAN" is not the right one to use. Someone who does that is not my fan, they are not a supporter. They're an idiot.

Run onto the pitch at a sports event and see what happens to you.

Instead of talking about how we gave 3 top notch shows we're talking about this mess ... All because security was sleeping on the job.

My only regret is that I put the fans who came to enjoy the show and DIDNT jump on stage at risk ... For that im sorry.
