You've probably heard the "karma will always catch up with you" saying?
It seems like a lot of people, including AKA's mother Lynnn Forbes, believe this to be true. The glammy shared a powerful post on DJ Zinhle's momentsbydjzinhle blog, which is titled "You can't build your happiness on someone else's pain, karma will get you".
Baby Kairo's grandmother shared how a lot of people, including herself, have been to a point where they were ready to take revenge on someone who has hurt their loved ones.
"That instance where all you can think about is hurting or harming them … when you are begging 'karma' to deal with them. I also choose to believe that having these feelings are normal. We are human after all. The question is, how far do we take these thoughts and emotions when they surface? Do we allow our emotions to consume us or do we have enough emotional intelligence to process what we are feeling and regain our composure, allowing ourselves to handle every situation with maturity and finesse?" she asked.
She said she recently spoke to someone who has been struggling finacially, who believes that her situation is because of someone else's actions.
"At some point during our conversation she said, 'You can’t build your happiness on someone else’s pain … Karma will get you'," Lynn wrote.
She went on to explain that dealing with any kind of hurt is never easy, "but are we emotionally mature enough to accept and believe that whatever others do to us or say about us has absolutely nothing to do with us. Their actions are a reflection of their own insecurities and unhappiness..."
Mama Forbes believes that if you're already unhappy, you cannot build your happiness on worldly things or people. "Unhappy people are always searching for happiness. They believe their happiness depends on getting something new or something different..."
