Our local TV channels are bringing on the heat in 2015. Another TV show has been set to be released in the early months of next year, with a title like "Ayeye" it has already caught our attention.

2015 is proving to be a year of very interesting television content it seems. Just last week we were informed of the airing of a new reality show that surrounds lobola negotiations titled, Mohadi set to take over our small screens in February. Then Siyabonga Radebe is coming with his own MTV Cribs show with a local twist titled Kasi cribs  which certainly itching to see.

Now coming to our TV screens is a drama series titled Ayeye which follows the lives of three successful young men JK (Thapelo Mokoena), Neo (Sthembiso ‘SK’ Khoza) and Lebo (Mpho ‘Popps’ Modikoane). Working as creative at a well-esteemed advertising agency in Sandton.

The three men showcase a coming of age story that follows their lives filled with love, heartache, fear and drama! Set in the heart of Johannesburg’s hottest urban neighbourhood, Maboneng Precinct, that’s where all eclectic Joburgers prefer to hang out these days, we see how the show encompasses how real-life urban movers and shakers live in this metropolitan city that is Joburg.

“We’re thrilled to be premiering aYeYe on Vuzu Amp,” says Nkateko Mabaso, M-Net’s Director for Local Interest Channels.

“The series encompassing everything we believe the channel stands for – and that is being an antidote to the average and offering shows that reflect the immediate experience of our young, creative, switched-on viewers.”
