Whoop! Bonang is in the February/March issue of Forbes Woman Africa. Queen B is determined to put Africa on the global map!

South Africa's media darling Bonang Matheba has her sights set on conquering the world, following her impressive successes in  Africa. The businesswoman, TV and radio personality has been featured in the February/March issue of Forbes Woman Africa's "ones to watch" list, where she talks about her global plans for 2015.

According to the mag, Queen B is determined to showcase Africa as the next big phenomenon. She said: "My success is not about myself but about making our continent a hub of global cultural intergration, in business and popular culture."

I don't doubt that B will put Africa on the map, as she has already caught the attention of international personalities. Just last month, the Metro FM presenter tweeted that she received an email from Vogue Spain. Unbelievable, huh? Although she didn't share any details about the contents of the email, it seems like another big move is on its way.

She also has a huge social media following, which makes her one of SA's most influencial media personalities. Speaking to the mag about using these platforms for good, she said: "We live in an era of social media, and that is where I have been able to influence the market effectively, as Twitter and Instagram have become a global mouthpiece. Radio is definitely my second most influencial media platform - it has allowed me to reach a broader audience."

Some may see her success today and think that she's having it easy. But no, that is far from the case. Bonang has faced a lot of rejection in her career and has had to work very hard to get to where she is. She got her big break as a presenter on SABC 1's Live, and things pretty much looked up there. "There are so many memories I treasure deeply on Live, this show was one of the platforms that propelled my career to where it is today," she told Forbes Woman Africa.

Bonang is doing big things and repping Africa very impressively. I can't wait to see what the Queen has in store next!

Do you think it's time to start considering Bonang as an international celebrity? Leave us your thoughts in the comments below!
