Brenda Fassie to perform one last time?
South Africa’s legendary icon Brenda Fassie, is set to give one last performance at the Hansa Festival of Legends taking place on the 23rd of March 2013.
According to Channel 24, this will be made possible through the technological use of a holographic projection that will create a 3D holographic replica of Brenda.
Apparently a team of audio-visual experts took six weeks to bring the holographic performance to life; Fassie’s performance is set to take 10 minutes where she’ll perform two songs from her musical titled “Mabrr”.
Brenda’s son, Bongani Fassie, will perform alongside his late mother.
Other artists who’ll take to the stage to pay tribute to Fassie include Kelly Khumalo and The Soil.
Hansa has revealed that tribute performances will also be dedicated to artists like the late Lebo Mathosa and Sipho Hotstix Mabuse.
