Sbahle Mpisane: Leading the Mob
By Sandy Nene on 14 January 2015 at 12:41 · Comments
Makeup Mob ambassador Sbahle Mpisane has just made sure you have NO excuses for bad makeup in 2015!

Businesswoman Nokuthula Luthuli recently launched her latest boutique called Makeup Mob. This exciting addition to Mzansi's cosmetics market has already raised eyebrows.

Their new ambassador, Sbahle Mpisane has also turned a few heads ever since her appointment and she's definitely adding flavour in a very different manner from that of previous cosmetics ambassadors. It's not just about being pretty or saying a catch phrase anymore, ambassadorial roles involve a lot more activity to bring a brand to life.

Sbahle Mpisane is this week's #BubblingUnder interviewee. You'll remember that last year we brought you some exciting, up and coming talents in this segment, and our friends at Flying Fish fully supported our endeavours to find the next up and coming stars who are adding flavour to their industry.

ZAlebs reporter and SA Blogger, Sandy Nene, spoke to Sbahle this week. With all the makeup horrors, we experienced last year Sandy saw it fit that he consulted a true professional when it comes to the application of makeup. Seriously ladies, we can't be bringing  such makeup disasters into 2015:

What does beauty mean to you?

Beauty to me means, being yourself unapologetically

At what age do you think women should start wearing make-up?

It's all subjective really. I believe that girls should feel comfortable with applying makeup from the moment they feel as though their skin requires them to do so. Everybody's skin is different; therefore I can't really give an exact age when I would deem it appropriate for them to start doing so.

Why do you think Make-up MOB chose you as their brand ambassador?

I believe Make-up MOB chose me as their brand ambassador, because I feel like they saw me as a new face and because I don't negatively expose myself in society. It’s also because of my work ethic and how I am already playing a role in influencing women in the health and fitness industry.

Your best makeup tip for this summer?

There’s the challenge of heat and humidity to contend with this summer, so the best makeup tip would be to lighten your face makeup by swapping foundation for tinted moisturizer. To keep the results looking fresh and natural, I would recommend applying bronzer only to the high points of your face, where the sun naturally hits you; forehead, cheekbones, chin, and nose.

CATCH UP:  Here are some of the cool up and comers we profiled with Flying Fish in our #BubblingUnder and #BubblingOver segments!

Your must-have make-up items this summer?

A must-have make-up item this summer would be waterproof mascara! As well as this, some close mentions would be eyebrow liner and your brightly coloured lipsticks.

Do you wear make-up every day?

No, I don't wear make-up every day. I do however make an effort every day to shade in my eyebrows, irrespective of whether I'm at home alone or going to the gym. My eyebrows define me!

Why do you think women should use Make-up MOB?

It's convenient and it's proven to be an easily accessible platform for women to explore their beauty and look their best.

Is this the first time you have ever been selected to represent a brand?

Yes, this is my first time doing something established, that offers exposure as much Makeup MOB does. I feel honoured to have been given such an influential role for women of all ages.

That's it guys! We are really in love with Sbahle and we hope you all took on board her tips so that you don't find yourself in any cosmetics trouble!

Actually, wait don't you share with us your worse makeup encounters, experience and if you're brave enough do send us a picture of the time you had the worst makeup on. We promise not to laugh.
