It's no secret that AKA and Cassper Nyovest are not the best of friends.
The rappers, who are on top of the South African scene, both walked away with awards at the 2014 Metro FM Music Awards held in Durban Saturday evening. It was indeed a great night for SA hip hop and we were all proud of their achievements.
But instead of celebrating this, some people seem to be stuck in the rappers' "dislike" for each other. Their beef made headlines last year, but they decided to bury the hatchet and focus on more important things, such as making great music (considering the success in Durban, that's clearly a great avenue).
We were shocked to read reports that the hip hop stars are apparently still feuding. Both Sunday Sun reported that Cassper and AKA still don't like each other.
The paper reported that there was unbearable tenstion between the stars at a Metro FM shoot two weeks ago. AKA reportedly left before the shoot was over. A source said: "AKA even brought his own stylist, even though he was told there would be a stylist." The source added: "Cassper was co-operative but AKA was difficult. AKA was giving them attitude throughout the shoot."
I don't know, is it just me or are people going out of their way to resurrect this beef? Even fans are having a tough time moving on from the drama. Some even took to Twitter to express how happy they were that Cassper cleaned up at the #MMA14 - nothing wrong with that - but they also sent negative messages to AKA.
But the Levels star, who congratulated Cassper on his awards, is not entertaining any of the hate. He wrote on Twitter: "Just woke up and took a look at my TL. Don't be so desperate for me to be mad ... Be happy for Tsibip instead."
He said people need to let go of the drama.
Niggas tryna add spice ... "HOW DOES IT FEEL FAM!" ... "IN YOUR FACE FAM!" .. 😂 .. I'm about to be someone's father yo. Let it go already 😅

People sure do know a lot about God and his plans for me. How's about you stay out of mine and God's business and worry about your own plan.

We hope that people can leave this beef where it belongs - in 2014!
