A number of basketball superstars have graced us with their presence ahead of the NBA Africa game.

Dubbed as the first NBA game in Africa, the match between Team Africa and Team World will take place on Saturday, 1 August, at the Emirates Airlines Park (formerly known as Ellis Park, for those of you wondering what that is).

The game will feature a number of the game's biggest stars - including Luol Deng, Serge Ibaka, Chris Paul, brothers Marc and Pau Gasol, and Mzansi's first lady of sport, Carol Tshabalala, was there to welcome the players.

Carol, who recently revealed her secret desire to release her own memoir one day, welcomed the players at the NBA's official South African Basketball without Borders launch on Wednesday.

Luol! Welcome to my neck of the woods buddy 😊 so elated to have you here. #NbaAfricaGame
