With the help of entertainment expert Mara Louw and actor Vuyo Mgudlwa, better known as Madluphuthu, Chicco will be auditioning aspiring filmmakers, who he will then help to realise their dreams.
He told SunBuzz: “We want to unearth new talent in Diepsloot. We will offer them training. At the end of the auditions the winning crew will be given an opportunity to produce their own movie in their preferred language.
“I decided to do low-cost films. I bought my own equipment and I have produced good movies. I will teach people how to do that.
“Under the supervision of an experienced panel of judges, the talent we find should be able to make great films.”
After they’ve been to Diepsloot, auditions will also be held in Limpopo and Orange Farm in Gauteng.
The auditions this Saturday, 16 November, will take place at the Diepsloot Community Hall at 9am.
