The group members have big plans to crack the international market.

New kids on the block, The Concept, dream of becoming international music sensations.

The group, which consists of four members - Thabiso "Cata-Lust" Lawrence, Karabo "4bidden" Motsele, Ferdinand "FerdyFerd" Buffel, and Brad "DJ Cutt” Tapinos" - was formed at the beginning of 2015.

They recently released their first song, entitled Bathi. Speaking about the song, they told ZAlebs: "For two weeks we wrote. We came up the title, translated loosely, 'what are they saying'. We don't care what they are saying, we're the concept, we love what we're doing and if we're so emphatic about what we're doing, eventually the masses will feel it. The song is just about having fun wherever you are. Live your life, chase your dreams, that's what we're about."

They described their sound as hip hop with a touch of RnB. "The sound you hear may be current, but it's unique to our sound as The Concept."

On their future plans, the group said: "We've got a couple of international collaborations that we're working on. We can't say yet, but we're speaking to some artists in the States. We definitely want to mark ourselves as international and global artists. Hopefully South Africa can support us in that as well."
