Mr SA Finalist, Dale Horne, is back contributing on Zalebs (YAY!) and his focus this week is Live Healthy. It's a cold and harsh winter, but we all want to come out of it with that gorgeous summer bod. Dale understands but gives us some crucial tips to make sure we achieve all our goals. Let's see what he has to say:
My Zalebs faithfuls, I have to apologize for being away for so long! From blogging about the flashy SA Fashion Week Official Launch, to introducing new winter styling tips at the GUESS Brooklyn store; I’ve neglected my commitments to you lovely readers! With all the fun I’ve been having, there was even more hard work to be done, and I figured, “Why not spend some time telling you all about it?”
There are three words that I strive to live by and that I believe everyone should adopt: dedication, determination and desire! A few years ago I decided to make a change in my life and one that has made me accomplish more than I could ever have dreamed possible - healthy living.
You hear it everywhere, because it’s true. Exercise is necessary. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind. So if you haven’t already, make that change and start exercising! Grab your partner or friend and start setting those healthy living goals together! If you are ready for the challenge, I’d recommend the S.W.E.A.T. 1000 classes! (I will chat more about this exercise regime in my next blog).
A lot of people will probably be thinking, “Dale, you’re crazy! Winter is around the corner and life would be much easier getting take-away meals and sneaking under those duvets.” Sounds tempting, I know, but keep that for the weekends and I can promise you, the sense of accomplishment alone will be well worth it.
Living Healthy Leads to USN Campaign
My decision to adopt a healthy living lifestyle has already started to pay off as I was able to fulfill a personal goal of mine recently. I was chosen to shoot the new USN advertising campaign, something that has been a personal ambition of mine for a long time.
What made it even better was the fact that I got to shoot the campaign with my girlfriend and training partner (Who also happens to be a USN ambassador!) Andene Thomson. We’ve got a few pictures from behind the scenes of the photo-shoot. You’re welcome to brows the USN site for some sound nutritional advice as well as to have a look at some of the products available. Work hard, do the annoyingly hard stuff now, and I promise you you’ll be thanking me this summer!
