One of the most anticipated interviews of recent times took place on Katch it with Khanyi on Monday, as Dineo Ranaka paid the Queen of Bling a visit for a girl-on-girl chat. Although the interview was not a tell-all conversation, we enjoyed the hilarious moments the two ladies shared with us.
On her family being broke:
Without wasting any time, Khanyi Mbau jumped into the first question about how Dineo feels when the public refers to her family as being broke.
“I’ve seen tweets saying Dineo’s family is so desperately broke, but I don’t get affected by that. Like you don’t know me, you only know of me and what I allow you to see and you may think you know me because I have a reality show, but that is only a segment of my reality, there is more that is not put on camera. So you can think we’re broke, that’s your opinion, it's fine.”
On her ex-boyfriend, Black Lez:
Things got a bit heated when Khanyi asked Dineo about her ex-boyfriend and the father of her child, Black Lez. Things got so awkward that Dineo didn’t even respond to Khanyi when she asked about the status of her relationship with him. The reality star picked up a glass of water and just kept on sipping until Khanyi moved on to the next question. Yeah, it was awkward, but funny at the same time. However, Dineo did add that when she gets over an ex, it's usually for good.
"I'm never afraid to start a fresh if I'm over you, I'm over you and I'm not going to judge and grade the next person based on my previous experiences."
Dineo also had very good things to say about her recent ex, Chuks, who also appeared on her reality show.
"My break up with Chuks was a very amicable breakup, we discussed it, we remain friends and we have a very good relationship, plus we check on each other every now and again. I respect him, he's an absolutely harmless human being."
On being a 'single' parent:
Ranaka revealed that she doesn't feel like a single parent, as she's been receiving great support from her family.
"I'm not a single parent, I co-parent with my siblings and parents. I do not know what it feels like to be a single parent and I've never said I'm a single parent, I just get titled as one but in reality I'm not. I don't know what it feels like to be at it alone, even if a man leaves I'm never at it alone."
