What's Hot: DJ Sbu makes it on the Forbes list... again

Mo Faya is proving to be a success for DJ Sbu.

DJ Sbu is shutting up his haters every day. The entrepreneur, who has a lot of people talking about his products, has now been featured on Forbes' "Made in Africa: Beverages From Africa And Produced In Africa" list because of his Mo Faya energy drink.

Sbu, who also has his own brand of bread and toilet paper, told Forbes that the drink, which was launched in 2014, has been in the making for the last three years.

"I actually discovered in my graduate studies that consumers in South Africa were moving from soft drinks to energy drinks," he said. The DJ added that that's part of the reason why he and founding partner, Siphiwe Likhuleni Shongwe, launched  MoFaya.

Siphiwe, who has experience in the energy drinks market told Forbes: "We developed the formula for our energy drink. Manufacturing and production of MoFaya is done locally in South Africa; Inhle Beverages makes the syrup/energy drink and packaging is done at Nampak Bevcan."

Things seem to be going very well for the DJ, who has proven that hard-work will get you very far. And, while some people have laughed at and criticised his latest business ventures, it seems like serious brands are impressed by his hustle. The award-winning musician is an inspiration to many South Africans.

No amount of hate or negativity will bring him down that's for sure.
