What's Hot: Fans messed around at Nicki Minaj concert

There was a major cock-up at the Nicki Minaj concert in Johannesburg on Thursday night.

Thursday night was all set to be the night of their lives for some of Nicki Minaj's die-hard South African fans, but instead it turned into a nightmare.

Around 20 fanatics had paid in the region of R3,000 to meet Nicki after the concert, but it seems their money was taken under false pretenses.

The Barbz, which is the name given to Nicki's fans, waited for their hero at the TicketPro Dome for a meet and greet session, but the American star had no knowledge of anything of the sort.

Minaj was all ready to leave the venue when she was informed that the group was waiting to meet her. The confusion was of great concern to everyone involved as nobody had communicated the meet and greet to the star or her crew.

What a disaster!

According to Sowetan, Minaj said to the group: "I’m very sorry for keeping you all waiting‚ but I want you to know that I never approved any meet and greet. I don’t do meet and greets after a show‚ I was literally about to leave. These people lied to you‚ please get your money back."

Minaj did take a group photo with those gathered backstage, and also promised that she would fight for them to be refunded.

That was a nice gesture, Nicki, but why didn't you just do an impromptu meet and greet to appease your fans? A group photo is cool, but it was 20 people, not 100 that you had to chat to. It would not have taken all that much of your time, and you would have made some fans extremely happy.

Talk about an anti-climax! Poor, Barbz.
