Fans, friends and family members gathered at the Alexandra Stadium to pay their last respects to Flabba. The rapper, who was reportedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend on Monday, 9 March, was buried at the West Park Cemetery, Johannesburg, on Sunday.
Mourners included his Skwatta Kamp band members, government officials, community members and fans from around Gauteng. Several speakers took to the podium to pay tribute to the award-winning hip hop star.
His daughter Lesego read a poem to him and took the opportunity to thank him for everything he has done for her. She mentioned that she will miss him very much. This weekend, Lesego also took over her father's Instagram account. She posted a picture of herself and captioned it: "Your baby girl will always love you." In another picture, she wrote: "Eish!!! Mara why? He's really gone hey? Guess I'll just have to deal with the fact that, as much as I hope he walks through that door like he used to, he won't."

Flabba's wife, Mpho Habedi, who is also Lesego's mother, paid a moving tribute to her husband. The two had been together for 20 years before they separated. In a statement, which was read by her friend, she said: "I was sugar and spice…I say with pride, I don’t regret a moment of our time together. I remember one day you said to me, our love is like the sun. It had set for a few hours, but was going to rise."
Although they were separated, the two remained good friends. She also thanked him and said she will always love him.
Swatta Kamp members also paid tribute to their colleague, brother and friend.
