Flabba's mother Agatha Habedi has spoken out about his son's death. The rapper was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend Sinsdisiwe Manqele, a fight broke out between the two.
Now, his mother believes that her son's death was caused by Sindisiwe's jealousy. In an interview with eNCA, the grieving mother started by mentioning that Sindisiwe had found incriminating WhatsApp messages on his phone that made her angry. She explained,
"He [Flaba] said she came across some WhatsApp messages, flirty messages that he was sending to and from another girl."
She said Sindisiwe wanted to break up with her son and refused to speak to him. "He was pleading with me to please talk to her. And I said 'okay, I'll phone her'."
Agatha told the news channel that Flabba warned her that Sindisiwe would kill him, but she laughed it off. She then spoke to the 26-year-old and asked her what had happened. "She said 'I'll be there in two weeks' and that's the last time I spoke to her," Agatha explained.
She said she really loved Sindisiwe and added: "I still do... I don't know what possessed her, I really don't. I want to ask her why, what was it that they couldn't talk about. Why?"
Sindisiwe, who is due to appear in court in May, was released on R10 000 bail. She will reportedly use text messages - that show that Flabba was abusive - as evidence in court.
This will be interesting to watch as some people, including Flabba's wife Mpho, believe that the rapper was not violent. In an interview with eNCA last week, Mpho said: "Nkuli was not a violent person, he was not a violent person. It is very strange. You know what, I am not going to say a lot because at the end of the day I wasn't in the room, they were together. But according to me, he wasn't violent at all. For that 20 years of my life, I never experienced anything that I would say "wow, I almost did what she has done. It's very weird."
