If MTV's goal is to get us hyperactive with excitement this week, it's working. The biggest music network in Africa dropped another bomb on us as they revealed on Thursday that American superstar, French Montana will also be taking Durban by storm come 7 June.  Just a few days ago MTV Base confirmed that Miguel would be joining the likes of Davido, Mafikizolo, Uhuru and Oskido at this year's MTV African Music Awards to be held at the ICC in Durban next month. 

French Montana needs no introduction to Hip Hop lovers after being a mainstay on the charts for the last four years. The Moroccan-born rapper moved to The Bronx in New York at the age of 13. While that may be a little young for one to cope, French was able to adjust and eventually thrive thanks to his passionate love for Hip Hop music. 

Apart from his music, French is also rumored to be dating Kardashian sister Khloe. Numerous pictures of the two have been circulating around the internet lately and most recently the two were said to be partying up a storm at Hollywood club, Penthouse while Khloe's ex, Lamar, chilled outside.  We’ve seen one picture of the two cuddling but what we want to see is that official picture of the two smooching!

But we're not going to be in Durban for his personal life (Well, unless Khloe comes with him!) we can't wait to see what French has to offer us on the 7th of June.  It would be pretty awesome if he surprised us with a collaboration performance with any of our African artists. Can you imagine if he rocked the stage with one of our rappers? That would definitely make our night. Big ups MTV, we can't wait for the awards show on the 7th of June.
