Gail Mabalane is the latest star to join the Generations: The Legacy team. The actress, who gave birth to her first child earlier this year, will make her debut on the popular soapie as Sarah Westbrook on Thursday evening. Her characer has been described as a feisty, ambitious, and hard-working woman.

Speaking about her role, Gail said in a statement: "I got a call about the opportunity and the timing was perfect. I read the script and found the character interesting." 

She explained that she had to audition: "The Generations team was very welcoming so to me it just felt right. It was also perfect for me because it wasn't too demanding at first, with my daughter only two months old when I started shooting."

Although she hasn't shot any scenes with her The Wild co-star Connie Ferguson, she said she loves working with the TV queen. 

"Connie is like a big sister to me, so we never stopped communicating or seeing each other since our last project," she said.  

She added: "It's also been a pleasure meeting the rest of the cast and crew. Working with professional and committed co-stars makes the job much easier."
