It’s business as usual for the Idols SA team after the Gareth Cliff race controversy.
Gareth joined the show’s producers and his fellow judges for dinner on Tuesday, and presenter ProVerb shared a picture of the happy moment.
The only person who did not manage a smile was Randall Abrahams – but what else is new?
Season 12 of Idols SA kicked off in Durban last weekend - one day after the High Court in Johannesburg ordered M-Net to reinstate Gareth as a judge on the panel.
Gareth took M-Net to court after he was given the chop for suggesting in a tweet that people who made racist comments could not be criminally charged as their opinions could be considered freedom of speech.
The radio DJ received major backlash from the public, and M-Net gave into calls for him to be removed as a judge on the Idols panel.
Gareth threatened to sue the channel for R25-million if he was not reinstated.
He won his case, and is back at work just in time for the fun audition phase.
And by the looks of ProVerb’s picture, they are glad to have him back!
