Unhinged former 5FM shock jock Gareth Cliff is slowly but surely embracing his newfound freedom from the shackles of controlled mainstream radio, and most recently did so in a new blogpost about truth.
Gareth recently took leave of his job as 5FM breakfast show presenter after a decade with the station, to embark on a new venture which will allow him the freedom to embrace his true nature as outspoken and honest DJ.
Described as more than just an online radio station by Gareth himself, he has explained that CliffCentral is a multi-faceted platform free from suspensions, restrictions, or BCCSA complaints.
Gareth over the 2014 Easter weekend took to garethcliff.com to give fans a taste of what's to come with his "unapologetic. unleashed. unradio" CliffCentral.

He writes: "The reason Jacob Zuma, Oscar Pistorius and Shrien Dewani make us all so cross is because we know they're lying and we know we wouldn't get away with those kinds of lies if we tried them."
He uses the post to characteristically address controversial issues, while simultaneously drawing on his motivation for creating CliffCentral.
Using the contemporary South African issues of Jacob Zuma's Nkandla, and both the Oscar Pistorius and Shrien Dewani murder trials as examples where "there seems to be either a lack of authority about the truth or a lack of accountability for it", he also voices his opinion that people often get away with brazen lies because people are too afraid to rock the boat.
"Unless you come like Gerrie Nel, armed with files and photos and bloodstained duvets that prove someone is being dishonest, you should humble yourself and let them keep mouthing off. The difference between truth, fiction and opinion is so blurred," writes Gareth.
"I think much of this comes from a general dislike of confrontation. That's why Zuma, Pistorius and Dewani can keep up their lies. People don't want to cause a scene, disrupt the peace or make anyone uncomfortable. Being quiet and allowing them to continue corrupting the truth will only delay the inevitable and make the truth, when it eventually comes out (and it always does) that much more painful to hear and bear. If we all had more regard for the truth than for being popular with our fellow citizens, associates, friends and family; we'd be willing to stand up and ridicule these lies in open, public ways."
CliffCentral.com launches on 1 May 2014, when The Gareth Cliff Show will be broadcast for the first time during the DJ's usual 6-9am morning slot.
