Have you ever seen a celebrity out in public and gone crazy? We don't blame you, it is an exciting experience.
However, it is important to note that they are humans too, so they may not always be up for you whipping out your selfie stick and screaming in their ear.
Here are some of our tips for treating celebs in public.
Be courteous
Yes, celebrities should be able to deal with their fame, but that doesn't mean you should run up and jump all over them. Think of a celeb as a skittish deer - you don't want to scare them off by being too loud and boisterous. Approach with caution.
Always ask for permission
We all have days where we don't want to see people we know when out and about, and the same applies for celebrities. If you spot one, ask for a photo or autograph, don't be all up in their grill. You are more likely to be met with a smile if you talk to them nicely and not just flash your camera in their face.
DO NOT SCREAM!
You are not on a rollercoaster when faced with a celebrity. Keep your voice down and try to remain calm. If you scream out, people around you will think there is an emergency, so think of other people and keep your adrenaline rush contained.
Compliments work
Celebrities, for the most part, love to be told they are special and great at what they do. Give them an ego stroke and mention why you love them. This will help with opening them up a bit and allowing you to get that selfie for Instagram or Facebook.
Only approach if alone
If you see a celebrity alone, go for it. However, if they are with their family, and especially if they have children, it is best to just leave them alone. Their children will more than likely be freaked out by you if you scream, and you don't want them to become separated from their parents if you create a frenzy. Think before you act.
With all that said, the common trend is for you to use your brain when you spot a celebrity. Do the right thing, do not be selfish, and respect your fellow human beings.
