We’re getting ever closer to finding out who will be crowned SA’s ‘ultimate hustler’ as the aspiring rappers battle for the number one spot on The Hustle. This week's episode showed us how bad the contestants really want this title.
Episode seven was all about the business as the show’s first guest judge - Leratolicious (Lerato Sengadi), who is the manager of HHP and his business mentor, came on board. In her challenge, dubbed ‘The Business’, Lerato gave the guys some insights into how the industry really works and the importance of brand management and staying focused. They were tasked with putting together a marketing plan for a single.
Having secretly recorded Lerato’s entire lecture on his phone, Shane Eagle (Shane Hughes) used craftiness to his advantage, which got him the upper hand in the end.
Ziyon of Liquideep came in as a guest mentor and judge for a theme song challenge, where the guys had to write a love song using eight bars and a hook. With AKA turning up the pressure with a pre-performance pep talk, ShabZi Madallion (Leshabe Rampedi) killed it, while Shane Eagle’s rendition came through a little soft, with his execution letting him down.
Judge Tumi was blown away by Bigstar Johnson’s performance, he was also a favourite amongst many of our local entertainment personalities too.

Quickfass Cass (Thamsanqa Tyam) faded out before his highpoint. To his surprise, ShabZi Madallion walked off as the winner of the love song challenge.
With Cass and Shane Eagle left in the bottom two, a very intense KFC Krusher Battle forced both rappers to go down to three rounds. The outcome was so intense that it left the judges and crew stunned, unable to make an elimination decision.
Even viewers were completely blown away by Tuesday night's episode.

We can only wait for the finale to see who will be crowned as the ultimate hustler of the show, but by the looks of things, Bigstar Johnson might snatch this title.
