What's Hot: Idols SA season 11 finale highlights
By ZAlebs on 23 November 2015 at 09:50 · Comments
We take look at some of our favorite moments from the Idols SA finale - good or bad.

The champagne bottles have been popped, and the Idols SA celebrations probably went through right into the early morning.

But it was all worth it.

Karabo is our new SA Idol and the rest of South Africa cannot stop ranting and raving about the outstanding finale we witnessed on Sunday night.

We also enjoyed the splendour that was the finale and we decided to share some of the highlights from the evening.

It wouldn’t be a complete list without mentioning Somizi’s show-stopping weave, that had most viewers either in shock or rolling on the floor with laughter.

For some reason, we think Somizi strategically planned to wear the weave specifically for the finale just to keep his name on people’s lips! Or is it just us? And look, it’s working because we're even writing about it right now.

Twitterville wasn’t the least bit impressed with Somgaga’s new hairdo and the memes were relentless.

But of course, Somizi was not fazed by the Twitter trolls and made sure that the weave worked for him during his show-stopping We Dance Again performance.

Speaking about performances, it was rather disheartening to see how Kwesta and Vincent Bones' performance was sabotaged by the faulty microphone. Regardless of the technical glitch, Kwesta and Vincent, still gave off their best.

But the rapper's fans were not impressed with how the production team handled their performance

However, Idols SA owned up to their mistake and publicly apologised to Kwesta for the faulty mic.

Then it came to the duet performances between Mmatema and J'Something, and Karabo with Judith Sephuma.

It was amazing to see how J'Something and Judith complimented both finalists. Their star status did not overshadow the finalists and they all just gelled well as a duo.

We'd also like to send our appreciation to Judith, who looked all kinds of sexy on stage. Her confidence had our eyes constantly glued on our screens.

Then there was Mmatema's reaction when Proverb announced the winner. We're not sure if Proverb's shouting scared her or if she thought she had heard her name being announced. Nonetheless, these two undoubtedly deserved to be in the top 2.
