Former Jozi group member Ishmael opened up to Vuzu TV last night during a V-Entertainment interview snippet, where we saw the man break-down for the first time as he revealed the cut-throat nature of the music industry and the passing of his ex-girlfriend Puff Johnson who died of cervical cancer last year.
Vuzu TV first announced the airing of the interview yesterday on their Instagram account, which received a positive response from the viewers who couldn't wait to see why "Ishmiza" was in tears.

During the preview of the interview, Ishmael mentioned how he felt used whilst in the group Jozi. For someone who has been in the industry for more than a decade churning out hits after hit. It’s a bit surreal to see him in such a situation where he feels less of an artist and more of a music pawn. Isn't Ishmael someone we should consider as a potential mentor for up-coming artists? After all he has been in the game since the days of Prophets of Da City (There we go revealing our age again, sigh.)
Many of his followers emphathized with Ishmael, tweeting words of encouragement and ensuring him that he'd bounce back into the industry in no time. We can't wait to see what part two of the interview will have in store for us.
