What's Hot: Isibaya actor hunted down by Metro Police

Art has imitated life for an Isibaya actor who might face some jail time after failing to comply with the laws of the road.

Just when things were going smoothly for Isibaya actor and the new voice of Ukhozi FM, Siyabonga Twala,  he then decides to break the law by driving at an alarmingly high speed on the roads of Durban.

According to reports, RTI (Road Traffic Inspectorate) spokeswoman Zinhle Mngomezulu told reporters that Twala was stopped by officers from the RTI’s Groutville office after speeding in a borrowed car on the N2 near Ballito.

Twala complied to stop but not for too long. The officer who took down the actor’s details revealed that he sped off after failing to wait for his R15 000 fine.

“The officer managed to take down his details but then he ran away. He can be arrested because he failed to comply with the lawful instructions of an officer.” She said

To make matters worse, Twala allegedly lied about where he was rushing off too. Apparently Twala told the officer who reprimanded him that he was in a rush to meet up with the HOD of the traffic department. However, when the HOD was asked if he knew anything about this so-called meeting, he denied having any knowledge of scheduling anything with the actor. How embarrassing!

Well, at least we know Twala wasn’t driving a hijacked car, as it’s been confirmed that the vehicle was lent to him.

Just pay the ticket Mr Twala, it has a steep price to it but what would you prefer jail time or air time?
