Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune recently got an earful from DJ Euphonik during an evening out at Club Sway in Sandton.
According to Drum magazine, 5FM's Euphonik minced no words during a confrontation with the football star, after he reportedly got a bit touchy-feely with the DJ's celebrity girlfriend, Bonang Matheba, when he greeted her.
Eyewitnesses at the high-end nightclub told the publication that Itumeleng met Bonang and her choreographer friend Somizi Mhlongo on a staircase, where he explained that his television presenter girlfriend, Minnie Dlamini, was in Durban.
Upon hearing this, Somizi apparently jokingly flirted with Itumeleng, saying that he should stick with him and Bonang because he will be sleeping at his house tonight!
Sources claim that Itumeleng greeted Somizi and Bonang by hugging them both, but there was reportedly more to it than that, as Euphonik later confronted the sports star about the intimate way he greeted Bonang.
In an alleged audio clip of the altercation, a very upset Euphonik can be heard telling Itumeleng that Bonang told him that he disrespected her.
The goalkeeper defends himself by saying he did nothing of the sort and merely said "Hi", but the DJ insists that he rubbed her up her leg and kissed her on her lips.
Itumeleng continues to deny having done so but nonetheless apologises, only to be told by a very angry Euphonik that he should rather go apologise to Bonang.
The publication approached Somizi for comment, but he refused to be drawn on the details of the confrontation and merely said: "This is a sensitive issue. It involves my friend. Sorry..."
