Electro-pop star Jmaxx is back home after wowing audiences in the US. Speaking to East Coast Radio’s Anisa Ussuph, the uber-talented musician and dancer described the trip as a magical experience.
“I performed at some of the top nightclubs in New York City and at a big event in Atlanta where some of the Grammy-award winning bands also performed.”
Jmaxx’s single Born To Be Famous was snapped up by US-based label Many Moods Music, which launched his career in the States. Speaking about the catchy dance track, Jmaxx, whose real name is Justin Eglin, says, “When I came up with the concept for the song, I wondered what it would be like to be famous. I was thinking about the dancers, singer and musical writers. Born To Be Famous was basically written for people in the Arts.”
Born to be Famous was mixed by the two-time Grammy Award-winning producer, Craig Bauer.
Jmaxx will be returning to the US in June for a tour to promote his debut album. He’s also trying to put together a tour of SA.
Jmaxx’s debut album, Kiss Of The Spider, will be out in April.
