John Mayer says his relationship with Katy Perry feels ”very human”.
The musician insists his romance with the ‘Firework’ singer feels totally natural whereas he felt he was part of a celebrity circus with some of his previous partners.
In an interview with ‘CBS Sunday Morning’, he said: ”I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship. For the first time in my life I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship. I know it is high profile. It’s hard to explain … For me it feels like something that’s very human.”
The 35-year-old guitarist also admitted he has been thinking about marrying Katy, 28, in the future.
When asked if marriage could be in the pair’s future, John answered: ”Of course. I mean, I’m still the kid from Connecticut. That’s what you do.”
John’s previous girlfriends include Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson – who he described as ”sexual napalm” and Taylor Swift, who penned a track about their split.
John and Katy – who have been an item for almost eight months – stepped out together at a Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Gala & Salute to Industry Icons party in Beverly Hills on Saturday night (09.02.13).
According to onlookers the couple spent most of the night with only eyes for one another.
An eyewitness said: ”She fixed his hair and they chatted. They seemed really happy and content.”
