What's Hot: #RIPSimba trends after emotional memorial

Yesterday's memorial service for Simba Mhere was an emotional affair; especially when Jonathan Boynton-Lee shared his memories.

Yesterday we attended the late presenter, Simba Mhere's memorial service which took place at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg. Mhere's friend and Top Billing co-presenter, Jonathan Boynton-Lee was emotional as he recalled some of his memories with his best friend. He started off by saying: "It's almost impossible to talk about my friend without breaking down."

He revealed that they had too many plans together, including starting their own company. Jonathan also joked about how Simba could twerk better than Nicki Minaj.

He said Simba taught him that the only thing you can control is the amount of love you give out, without getting anything in return. Jonathan, who was emotional while speaking about his friend, even shared a romantic movie that he and Simba had made before his death. The short movie, which was about their bromance, was shared with guests at the memorial service and brought some humour to an otherwise sad situation.

Rest in peace, Simba.
