The actress has officially left the Isidingo building.

Viewers will probably never get over Kgomotso Christopher's last appearance on Isidingo.

The actress, who played Katlego Sibeko in the soapie, had a rather dramatic and emotional exit.

Fans watched as their favourite character was killed by her husband, Lincoln. What a shocking moment that was. We're still trying to get that picture out of our minds.

Fans have also taken to Twitter to share their feelings about Kgomotso's last episode.

On her decision to leave the show, the actress told Bonang Matheba on Metro FM's The Front Row show on Wednesday morning: "You have to grow, you have to develop, and you can't stand in the way of your growth.

"And sometimes growth comes with change and stepping away from your comfort zone, and really was what it was all about. I was giving myself the time to see what else KG can do out there in South Africa as an artist, as an actress."

But don't worry, you will still see her on TV.

"I'm definitely not leaving televison, I am definitely going out there to audtion and hopefully those auditions will bring more work on television. So definitely you will see me on television. I'm hoping to go back to stage, I'm hoping to do film," she added.

The actress also took to Instagram to share a picture from her first day on the set of Isidingo. The snap, which features Linda Sokhulu (Nikiwe Sibeko) and Robert Whitehead (Barker Haines), had an emotional caption.

13 April 2011. My very first day on the set of #Isidingo. Today 13 April 2016 is my last screen appearance on the Deep. It’s still so surreal but what is real and apparent right now is that God, Badimo baka and The Universe, were there on that first day and are here with me today. To my beautiful, talented and unforgettable co-actors...thank you for playing with me for these past 5 years. To the Isidingo production and crew...thank you for the incredible platform you gave me. I will forever be indebted to the institution and more importantly the home I had in Isidingo. To my ever-engaging, ever-supportive Isidingo family on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook...without you, our work would be for nought. I thank you all for the love you have shown me always and since my exit from Isidingo was announced. "In Life the Only Constant is change" ❤
