Kendrick Lamar adds Reason to his SA tour

Local rapper, Sizwe Moeketsi, also known as Reason, is going to be the opening act for two of American rapper Kendrick Lamar’s concerts as part of Lamar's South African tour.

It will be a massive feather in Reason's cap as he continues to make waves in the local hip-hop industry. The rapper shot to fame with his singles called Do It Like I Can and No Sleep and he has worked with the likes of Tumi, Ginger Breadman and Tall Ass Mo.

He told SunBuzz: “Opening the act for Kendrick is really cool. This will open more doors for me.”

He explained how this will enable his goal of reaching more people with his music: “It’s about time! I have enjoyed every step of the way. A lot of lessons were learnt.”

Reason will be joined on stage by several other high profile local stars including the likes of: Khuli Chana, Dream Team and DJ Dimplez.

Miller Boomtown presents Kendrick Lamar kicks off in Durban at the Wavehouse on February 7. The next day, he will move onto Johannesburg Stadium in Johanessburg and then to Cape Town’s Bellville Velodrome on February 9.
