Can you say Skhanda Love? K.O. has released the video to his gangsta love song which features Nandi Mngoma.

Can rappers ever show emotion in their music? The answer is a definite yes, as K.O. has proven in the last few weeks with the release of his newest single, Skhanda Love. The track is lovely, and is complemented by the vocals of singer, Nandi Mngoma, who brings her flavour to the hook. We've been waiting for ages, but today is the day we finally get to watch the Skhanda Love video which K.O. dropped on Twitter this morning. It's aready received massive airplay on Channel O too.

The reaction to the video has been largely positive so far, as fans of the Skhanda Republic rapper have praised K.O. for a well shot video. We were promised a movie; a cinematic production, and I have to say that's what we've been given with the Skhanda Love video. The beginning, when an exasperated land-lord kicks K.O. out of his apartment by serving him an eviction notice, breaks my heart.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying every music video needs to be serious or overdone. There's a time and a place for us all to dance and chill around VW caravans, as we all enjoyed doing when the Caracara music video came out. But there's just something a little endearing about a music video that manages to tell a story in four minutes or less. We watch this couple react to their eviction while they make a plan to continue living their lives and keeping their love strong. Can you say Awww?

Seriously, I never thought that K.O. could be such a softie. But versatility is the mark of a good musician, and his success over the last 18 months is clearly not coincidental. I think Skhanda Love is going to be a hit that ladies and gentlemen around Mzansi will love and enjoy. Oh, and if you're about to watch the video below, make sure you grab a tissue!
