Ever since ZAlebs HQ moved to its new offices, we have seen an influx of celebrities visiting our territory in the last couple of weeks- not that we are complaining!. Yesterday we showed you footage of high profile businessman, Kenny Kunene in our exciting Playroom and today we bring you All of Me superstar, L-Tido.
Last November, L-Tido dropped the video for his latest single Steve Kekena. In our opinion he’s one rapper that has been consistent in terms of the quality of his music videos. If you didn't know, the rapper sampled a track from a Doc Shebeleza song for this new single; who would have thought that South African rappers would start sampling Kwaito songs? We remember a time when Kwaito and rap were hostile towards one another in South Africa. Mzekezeke made it quite clear in his early 2000’s single Amakoporosho highlighting local rappers as phoney and boring, oh how times have changed!
ZAlebs invited L-tido for a friendly match of Injustice on the Xbox 360 and to our surprise the rapper admitted that he wasn’t much of a gamer, which was a huge relief for us because this meant we could easily beat him with our eyes closed. Unfortunately that was not the case, and Tido smashed our beloved Editor (who thought he was an invincible gamer!)

We sat down to talk about his latest achievements including his MetroFM Awards nomination for Best Hip Hop Album, news which was greeted pleasantly by L-Tido fans. Apart from his Metro F.M nomination for Best Hip Hop Album, the Alexander born rapper also touched based on his collaboration with Nigerian rapper Ice-Prince and him actually missing Kwaito (Yes you read that right, L-Tido actually misses Kwaito)
He also dropped an exclusive about the Steve Kekana remix which you can view right in the video below.
Let’s get the camera rolling:
