Mafikizolo is excited about their upcoming Black Entertainment Television Awards performance as well as being nominated for the prestigious, Best International Act.
The duo, Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Nciz, recently made a comeback and have caused a stir in the local scene, sweeping up awards at the SAMAs and clinched the coveted Song of the Year award at the MTV Music Africa Awards.
Nciz previously opened up to Tonight and revealed their thoughts on the award shows.
Speaking about their nomination at this year's Black Entertainment Television awards, she explained it was an 'honour' to be nominated.
"We have never been to Los Angeles and to go there and come back with the award would be amazing. We are honoured that not only has the album got continental success, it has also gone international," she said.
The duo also took to Twitter to thank their fans for their support.
"Thank you to everybody that has had our backs from day one, now and forever!!! #RiseAfricaRise!!!," they tweeted.
The BET Awards will be held in Los Angeles, California on June 29 and Chris Rock will host the show.
