After years of a successful career in the afro-pop group, Malaika, the lead singer Tshedi Mholo has decided to release her solo album.
The album titled Victory hit the stores on Monday and Mholo believes it will give fans a chance to know her as an artist.
In an interview with the Sowetan, she said: “It took me three years to complete this album because I wanted it to be perfect. I always recorded material and saved it - and also brought in different producers to advise me on the sound."
Along with songs written in Isizulu, Sesotho and English, Victory also contains songs in other African languages such as Lingala and Swahili.
The album is also available for download on itunes and Mholo plans to go on a nationwide tour to promote it.
Is this the end of Malaika?
