What's Hot: Mfundi warns against Fake Generations Twitter account

The soapie's creator has warned people not to send money or nudes to the fake Generations: The Legacy Twitter account.

Yho! Social media has become a rather dangerous place lately. People get attacked and bullied while others find their naked pictures splashed for everyone to see.

And now Generations: The Legacy has also become a victim. A fake Twitter account, claiming to belong to the soapie, has been fooling people into sending nude pictures of themselves, promising that they will win an iPhone 6. As soon as he discovered this, the show's creator  Mfundi Vundla took to the social networking site to warn people.

He tweeted: "This fake account @GenerationsZAR will request money and nude pics, promising auditions and a favour to win iPhone 6. Don't fall for it!!!"

He urged his followers to report the fake account as spam and added: "Here is our official account @GenerationsRSA."

He also warned people not to send money to the fake account.

Wow. Some people have no respect for other people's brands. Imagine how many people have fallen victim to this scam. It's no secret that some aspiring actors want to be part of the soapie and some would probably do anything to get their foot in the door, including falling for scams. It's a good thing that Mfundi picked this up early.
