TV personality Minnie Dlamini’s secret project has been revealed to be a 2015 calendar aimed at assisting young girls in school.

Minnie Dlamini has spent some time on photo shoots in different locations and Drum magazine has finally discovered what it was all about.

According to the magazine, Minnie has been working on her first calendar. The 2015 calendar, that’s set to launch in November, is linked to the starlet’s foundation, which aims to help young girls attain clothes, toiletries, stationery, school uniforms and food.

Minnie said: “Many young girls suffer the embarrassment of not having and thus end up dropping out of school, or as a result of not having they become victims of bullying. This is just a small token I can extend to them that I hope will take away the feeling of embarrassment and of not belonging. No girl child should ever feel ashamed of herself and not be provided with the tools that lead to her education.”

It is said that she still has to shoot part two of the project now that she is back from her New York trip.

The locations that have been used are in KZN, and include places like the Moses Mabhida stadium, uShaka Marine World and the iconic sugar cane fields of the coast.

“I am working with the most amazing creative team, the photographer Aubrey Johnson, is a Durbanite and has thus far captured the beauty of the city – and mine of course, in a very artistic way,” she said.

“The Zulu attire was something we came up with and my mother, Queen Dlamini, styled it. Each look has a story attached to its location.”
