Norma Gigaba says that she and her family have moved on from that ordeal.

Norma Gigaba has finally spoken out about that nasty Instagram fight. Norma, who is married to the Minister of Home Affairs Malusi Gigaba, was put on blast by a woman named Buhle Mkhize.

Buhle, who is based in New York, took to Instagram to share screenshots from Malusi's wife, who allegedly called her a prostitute. Norma has spoken out for the first time about the incident.

She wrote on Instagram on Friday: "In light of the recent, unnecessary publicity around the aftermath of my private conversations, I feel the need to say that I am truly disheartened by its continual perpetuation and the fact that it has been used as a drive to embarrass my family."

She said she realises that she should not have responded to "provocative messages" which were a trap to drag her name through the mud.

"I would like to boldly state that I refuse to be subjected to any further shaming, particularly on the Internet, for a situation where my sole intention was to shield my family. I shall not fuel the public appetite for drama around the stereotypes of black bickering women I expect that the source of these sensational stories will continue extracting a profile from these fabrications, but our priorities are evidently very different. My priorities are my family," she added.

Norma also made it clear that she and her family have moved on from this.
