We normally touch base with our friend Nick Explicit on the UJFM Explicit Drive on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Today, for Mandela day, we touch base in a very different way as we share Nick's Mandela Day dedication on ZAlebs. As well as being a radio DJ, Nick Explicit is a talented local rapper (Many will have heard his mixtapes and his famous 5FM slot on the Fresh Drive, The Weekly Rap Up) and when it came time to compose a dedication to the nation's father, Nelson Mandela, Nick stepped up and recorded his dedication song, It is in Your Hands.

The rapper spoke to ZAlebs about the special song he recorded for Madiba following uTata's death. "The title comes from a famous quote by Nelson himself. I recorded this about 6 months ago and was just waiting for the right time for the song to come out. What better day than the first Mandela Day since his passing?"
