Minnnie Dlamini's publicist, Jarred Doyle, has rubbished reports that the star "showed the middle finger to SABC sports bosses" ahead of the Durban July.
According to Sunday Sun, Minnie went AWOL and left her bosses fuming on 3 July. Sources told the paper that she was supposed to be the face of the SABC Sport brand activation appearances on the Friday, and was supposed to tour malls in Durban promoting the brand, but disappeared.
She reportedly switched off her phones. The drama reportedly carried on when she returned to Johannesburg, without warning. A source said Minnie had "a screaming match with a producer named Themba when they were busy preparing for Soccer Zone..."
However, Doyle has refuted these claims.
Speaking to ZAlebs, he said: "Minnie has amazing relationships with all her business associates. She has amazing relationships with all her bosses at the SABC. She's not the kind of person that ruffles feathers and rejects anyone. The decision to not go to the Durban July was a decision that we both took as a team because we felt that she needed rest, and she wanted to spend the weekend with her dad, as it was his birthday."
He added that there are no issues or fights going on at the moment. "We're really just working hard," he insisted.
Doyle then revealed that Minnie is currently working on big international plans.
"She's still in contact with her American business associates. She's really busy with Ke Yona, the TV show, and also busy with her SABC sports show. There are big plans in the works and the MinnieGoesInternational plan is in full force. We're still there, we're still chatting, we're keeping those conversations open. There are really great things planned for the future."
