Nomzamo Mbatha says Umlilo will challenge people's thoughts on polygamy.

Nomzamo Mbatha is extremely excited about her latest show Umlilo. The e.tv drama series, which follows the lives of a polygamous family, will air on Monday, 9 March at 9pm.

Nomzamo stars as Khwezi, a woman who could soon become a third wife. Speaking about the show with e.tv's e-Buzz, Nomzamo said: this has been a challenging, juicy and stretching role.

The Holiday Swap KZN host talked about how she thinks that the show is different and how it's going to raise conversations at home. "I think as Umlilo we’ll question a lot of morality stances people already have. I think we’ll question a lot of things that people already have preconceived ideas about. We want families to sit there and say; 'I don’t think Khwezi did the right thing, I’d be so mad if that happened to me.' This is what Umlilo is going to be, which is why it’s so important for it to be in people’s homes; to raise questions. But most of all to make great television."

Nomzamo stars alongiside actors like Omuhle Gela and former Generations star Thato Molamu. She described the cast as amazing and added: "I think we've got a really, really amazing cast. You've got young people like me and Omuhle, we're pretty much new in this industry, we're hungry for it and we're ready to learn."

Nomzamo took it even further and shared her OWN views on polygamy too, we've got the video below.
