Controversial socialite Nonhle Thema's ex-fiancé and baby daddy, Arthur Bolton, is accusing her of trying to kill him.
Nonhle recently announced on Twitter that she's single again, and has been for months, and although both she and Arthur admit that they've broken up, their respective reasons for the split are vastly different.
Drum magazine spoke to both Arthur and Nonhle, to hear both sides of the story.
According to Arthur, he walked-out on Nonhle because of her controlling ways, her unreasonable attitude when she'd been drinking, and because she tried to kill him.
According to Nonhle, she broke up with Arthur because he is a lazy, wannabe rapper who takes drugs, and because he was only using her for her "fame".
Arthur, who has moved back to London after the split, claims that 31-year-old Nonhle is refusing him access to their daughter, Star Phoenix Ivy Zime.
"I'm only doing this story so people can know the truth," he told the publication.
Apparently the brother of US rapper Lupe Fiasco, Arthur claims his relationship with Nonhle was marred by constant fighting, mostly because she tried "to control" him.
"At first I didn't mind because I loved her, but soon I didn't know who I was. After many arguments and five trips back and forth from London, Nonhle asked me to see a traditional healer to help our relationship.
"I agreed because I was prepared to do anything so that Star could have a real family. But a couple of days after visiting the healer I got bitten by a spider and nearly died. Luckily my father flew out from England and took me to hospital."
And Arthur's accusations don't stop there. He goes on to insinuate that Nonhle's visits to the sangoma affected him even after he returned to England once they'd officially split up. He claims to have been overcome by suicidal thoughts and plagued by voices in his head that "wouldn't go away". After many failed attempts to kill himself, he reached desperate levels and jumped in front of a truck, only to wake up in hospital, where doctors told him that he was lucky to have survived. Concerned for his well-being, his family allegedly admitted him to a "psychiatric ward".
He also lamented his baby mama's drinking habits, saying: "There was no talking to Nonhle when she was drunk. It was like trying to reason with a brick wall. If I'd stayed one of us would have been dead by now - that's how bad it was. Nonhle can be a good mother, but no one can be a good mother when they're drunk. In her actions, Nonhle tries to hide behind God, but God sees all and knows all.
Nonhle has, however, rubbished all these claims, saying: "He got a taste of fame and now he is scorned. All these things are not true. Drinking, sangomas? He is ludicrous and insane."
She also denies 24-year-old Arthur's claims that he was about to sign to a record label before he met her, but "dropped it all to be with my family and try to do the right thing".
"Even while he was here he could not afford to take care of us and that is one of the reasons I left him," she told Drum.
"He is broke and I realised that I couldn't live my life with a man who is happy not doing anything to support his family. I was mothering him and my daughter and that just got too much. He used to drive my car, I fed him and I would buy him clothes - I didn't want him to be embarrassed. I stopped trying to help him; now he is trying to destroy my career."
And of his claims that she conspired with a sangoma to kill him, she said: "I pray and meditate. And if I wanted the sangoma to kill him, why would I have taken him with? That just shows how ridiculous his whole story is. Even the stuff about drinking too much - I'm a working mother and my daughter lives with me. Clearly I'm stable so there's nothing like that."
Meanwhile, Nonhle has already moved on from Arthur, and says the "new man in my life" is making her "very happy".
She recently uploaded a photo of herself embracing a guy, and tweeted: "I love Mario so Blessed to meet him"
