Oscar Pistorius: Will he have a fair trial?
US lawyer Alan Dershowitz joined Piers Morgan to discuss the Oscar Pistorius trial and called South Africa a "failed country". He also implied that there were racial reasons for Oscar Pistorius’ conduct on the night of the shooting.

Dershowitz has been involved in several high-profile legal cases and was the appellate adviser for the defence in the O.J. Simpson murder trial in 1995.

Dershowitz is known as a 'distinguished defender of individual rights' and ‘the best-known criminal lawyer in the world’.

Take a look at Dershowitz classifying South Africa as a ‘failed country’, a lawless country and a country with deep, deep racial divisions.

Dershowitz trashed CNN reporter Robyn Curnow's coverage of the Oscar Pistorius murder trial when they both appeared on the network's Piers Morgan show.

Curnow said the case would come down to legal arguments and the judge sifting through "the minutiae of the law."

But Dershowitz hit back saying, "Your previous guest, the one who was the reporter from South Africa, couldn't have been more incorrect when she said this is going to come down to the law. The law is relatively clear, and the law is relatively undisputed. This is all about the facts. This is all about the forensics."
