Day four has proven to be a rather difficult day for Oscar Pistorius as the fourth witness Mr Stipp entered the witness stand. Mr Stipp who is also a Dr revealed Reeva’s fatal wounds when he arrived at the house on the day she died and how distraught Oscar was as he knelt next to Reeva’s lifeless body praying to God that she was not dead.
The most interesting part of Roux cross-examination of Dr Stipp was when he argued that the screams that Stipp thought were of a woman were actually Oscar’s.
“We have to put it, that when Pistorius is anxious he screams like a woman” – Roux said.
Roux also argued that the three gun-shots Dr Stipp heard were actually the noise of a cricket bat that Oscar used to break down the door after he realised it was Steenkamp in the bathroom.
As the rest of South Africa listened to the trial many of our local entertainment personalities seemed to be a bit disgrunteld towards Roux cross-examination considering him to be exhausting his questions and making comparisons of the voice and the cricket bat as condescending.
Day five of the Oscar trial commences tomorrow.
