Interviews: #Pasop: How it all came about
By Zee Nonjabulo on 14 August 2015 at 15:44 · Comments
The Cashtime crew tell us how the "Pasop" single came about and how everyone was motivated by each other in the studio whilst making the track.

DJ Vigilante and the Cashtime crew inform us about how the entire song came about with five rappers in one song. You would think that there was quite a lot of intimidation in the studio when Pasop was being recorded, but according to Maggz and DJ Vigilante, the crew was more motivated about each other than intimidated.

The lady of the crew, Nomuzi, also added that Pasop could possibly be one of those songs that changes the landscape of local hip hop:

"If you look at the climate of where SA hip hop is right now, everything is a move because we're all sort of the most pioneering and iconic artists in the South African hip hop scene."

Check out the entire interview below.

Also, congratulations to our Pasop competition winner Koketso Wade Madibane, who has won a Cashtime tracksuit, and congratulations to Rorisang Kotsitswe and Lamla Tomsana, who have won themselves Cashtime merchandise.
